Product Description

All the xPico-WiFi capabilities you need, now with seamless integration with Modbus, offering powerful wireless connectivity for Modbus-based systems.  The xPico Wi-Fi Module with Modbus bridges Modbus/TCP on the Ethernet side with Modbus/RTU or Modbus/ASCII on the serial side. When connected to Modbus serial slave devices, the xPico Wi-Fi Module converts Modbus/TCP requests from up to two clients into serial Modbus/RTU or Modbus/ASCII requests. Modbus serial responses are converted back to Modbus/TCP messages and delivered to the original client.

The xPico Wi-Fi Module with Modbus enables integration of both new and legacy Modbus/RTU and Modbus/ASCII devices with modern TCP/IP network-based devices.

  • Supports Modbus/TCP on the ap0 or wlan0 network interface
  • The device server can be addressed in Modbus/TCP using Device ID 0 or 255
  • Configurable pins can be read or written as inputs or coils using Modbus/TCP. Modbus Input and Modbus Coil roles can be assigned under the Configurable Pin Manager (CPM). (xPico-Wifi embedded module only)
  • Responds to Read Device Identification (function code 43, sub-function 14)
