SP2+ PRO Version - sensorProbe2+: POE

The AKCP sensorProbe2+ Pro (SP2+PRO) is a 0U rack-mountable, network-connected environmental monitoring controller designed for data centers, server rooms, telecom enclosures, and distributed facilities that need enterprise-grade monitoring and security protocols ready to go the moment the device is on the network.

All four RJ45 sensor ports are active and ready to use out of the box. Each port accepts any AKCP autosense sensor: temperature probes, combined temperature and humidity sensors, water rope leak detectors, thermal map sensors, smoke detectors, door contacts, and more. Up to 20 dry contact inputs and outputs can be configured across the four ports, giving the SP2+PRO substantial third-party alarm integration capacity for UPS units, generators, PDUs, HVAC systems, and security panels. An internal buzzer triggers an audible on-device alert whenever any sensor threshold is crossed, regardless of network status.

Professional license included 

The SP2+PRO ships with the Pro license pre-installed. That means IPv6, SNMP v3, VPN, RADIUS and TACACS authentication, access control for up to 500 users, sensor floor maps, heartbeat monitoring, cloud integration, and 5 virtual sensors are all active and ready to configure without a separate purchase. Virtual sensors can be expanded up to 80 total via additional license packs, allowing the SP2+PRO to serve as the centralized hub for a large number of monitored data points well beyond its physical sensor ports.

Power options

The standard (PSU) model (SP2+PRO) include a 5.5VDC 3A power supply in the box (100–240V input).

The PoE model (SP2+PRO-POE) draw power from your existing PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af) - no adapter is included or needed.

Both variants support dual-input power redundancy via optional external DC-DC conversion boxes, accepting 12–24VDC or 48–60VDC inputs - useful in telecom enclosures with cabinet-based DC power or data centers with dual PDUs.

No software required for single-device monitoring

The SP2+PRO is fully accessible from any web browser on your network.

For centralized management of multiple AKCP devices - with 3D digital twin visualization, thermal risk mapping, AI-driven analytics, and automated reporting - add Quicklime Sensor Monitoring Software. VPN connectivity, a Pro-exclusive feature, allows the SP2+PRO to tunnel securely into Quicklime over Ethernet or cellular.

What the Pro license adds

Compared to the Basic, the Pro license unlocks 5 virtual sensors (expandable up to 80 via license packs), sensor floor maps, 3rd party Modbus device monitoring, IPv6, SNMP v3, VPN connectivity, access control for up to 500 users, RADIUS/TACACS authentication, heartbeat monitoring, and cloud integration with Quicklime Sensor Monitoring Software.
