Note: The CAN FD standard offers a higher bandwidth for data transfers allowing for a maximum of 64 data bytes per frame and can transmit up to 12 MBit/s. The CAN FD is downward compatible to the CAN 2.0 A/B standard allowing CAN FD nodes to be used in current CAN networks. However, CAN 2.0 A/B devices cannot be used on a CAN FD network.
