The Ixxat 1 SI CANopen is a plug-in compact module for SIMATIC ET200S modular I/O systems that offers an easy and cost-effective way to connect CANopen devices. It enables seamless integration and control of CAN/CANopen networks via PROFIBUS or PROFINET, without extra gateways. Add in the possibility to connect up to 126 CANopen responder nodes in commander mode, and these capabilities will facilitate the expansion of automation systems , increase those systems efficiency, and offer scalable system expansion without significant cost increases.
The isochronous operation mode supports efficient real-time communication, which is essential for time-sensitive applications. This module can be smoothly replaced during operation without system shutdown, which minimizes downtime.
The 1 SI CANopen module supports transparent CAN 2.0A for custom protocol implementation and enhancing PLC programming efficiency with ready-made function blocks available in the SIMATIC STEP 7 portal.
Thanks to integration into the hardware catalog of the SIMATIC STEP 7 or TIA Portal configuration environment, this module has uncomplicated configuration.
