The GRIDBluFly, also known as BluFly, is a Class 1 Bluetooth adapter featuring a 2.4GHz RF PCB trace antenna. The modules are Bluetooth version 5.0 compliant (BR + EDR + Bluetooth® LE). This RS232 Bluetooth adapter offers connectivity through either a DB9 male or female connector, providing versatile serial-to-Bluetooth solutions.

Pairing two BluFly devices enables a wireless RS232 connection, effectively serving as a Bluetooth console cable replacement or extender. A PC equipped with Bluetooth can pair with a single BluFly, establishing a virtual COM port for seamless wireless serial communication via this serial Bluetooth adapter.

This Bluetooth serial adapter allows configuration and control using simple ASCII commands through its hardware serial UART or remotely over a Bluetooth RF connection. The BluFly Bluetooth adapter features a mid-range power transceiver, offering a communication range of up to 300 feet - actual range may vary due to environment or type of client device used to connect to BluFly.

Bluetooth wireless technology enables short-range radio communication, allowing devices such as the BluFly serial to Bluetooth adapter to transmit signals between computers and other equipment efficiently, simplifing communication and synchronization between devices.
