NAPERVILLE, Ill. – March 3, 2023 – Automotive innovations using CAN and CAN FD buses have brought to life remarkable designs, UX, safety features, and infotainment over the years. CAN bus has also helped build a 25-year relationship between Grid Connect and Germany-based PEAK-System forged at embedded world. For a quarter century, the two companies have helped test lab managers, engineers, and others continually evolve how they monitor and communicate across CAN networks.
“The Grid Connect and PEAK-System relationship began when we met at the embedded world show in 1998,” said Mike Justice, founder of Grid Connect Inc. “PEAK needed a distributor in North America, and after getting to know one another, we started selling PEAK’s products online.”
Recently, Grid Connect and PEAK-System introduced the PCAN Explorer 6 software to enable communication simultaneously between CAN and CAN FD buses. Users can send messages or transmission lists with the software, which benefits control and simulation. Along with software like PCAN-Explorer 6, the two companies sell all types of CAN bus interfaces to a worldwide line-up of customers making commercial products for cars, trucks, medical equipment, and factories.
“Our partnership has lasted because we respect what each company brings to the table—quality German engineering and American technical support and local stock,” added PEAK-System CEO Uwe Wilhelm.
PEAK-System was founded in 1999 and is a world-leading provider of hardware, software, and services for mobile and industrial communications. PEAK-System’s employees are experts in product and software development as well as automation.
