The RN370 Battery Powered WiFi Serial Adapter allows for the remote transfer of RS232 data between a serial device and a remote application such as a data logger or PC control console. The RN370 uses 2 x Standard AAA batteries to go where other serial adapters cannot.

Data is transferred using a TCP/IP socket or by using other protocols like HTTP or UDP. The Battery Powered WiFi Serial adapter can operate in both infrastructure or ad hoc networking modes.

    Built In HTTP Client
The Battery Powered WiFi Serial adapter contains a built in HTTP client which can be utilized for posting data to a remote server without the need for an external host controller. With HTTP protocol enabled on the RN340 it can wake up and send data as an HTML post to a remote server.
