Product Description

The ProfiHub B2FOR+ can be used to create Fiber Optic Rings for PROFIBUS networks while supporting RS485 cable redundancy at the same time. This capability is useful for PROFIBUS applications requiring redundancy and high-availability. Status can be remotely monitored via ComBricks web browser.


Fiber Optic Rings
This PROFIBUS DP RS485 copper cable to Fiber Optic Link module is available in a Multi-Mode option or a Single-Mode option. Multi-Mode allows for 5 km fiber optic cable lengths, while the Single-Mode allows for 50 km cable lengths. There is 1 Fiber Optic cable split into 2 ports.


Redundancy
There are 2 galvanic isolated RS485 copper PROFIBUS segments. Use these with other ProfiHubs or ComBricks to create redundant copper cable runs between the hubs.
