Product Description
The HP-25 PROFIBUS Cable Tester is a handheld device that detects the most frequently found faults when cabling PROFIBUS DP networks. The HP-25’s screen indicates any found faults with colors to help quickly identify problems, or the lack thereof.
The HP-25 Cable Tester is able to detect:
- Open lines
- Short circuits between green and red A & B wires
- Short circuits between A or B and the shield/screen
- Crossed connections of the A & B wires
The unit can also be used to check for the correct orientation of the IN and OUT cables in PROFIBUS DP connectors. The correct orientation of the cables is critical when using the connector’s Terminating Resistor Switch for troubleshooting purposes.
