    The PCAN-PCI Express FD with single channel, connects a PC using a PCI Express slot to a CAN FD or CAN network. Using galvanic isolation, the device is able to achieve up to 500 Volts between the computer and CAN interface. The 2-channel version is pictured.

    The CAN interface card was developed to the CAN FD standards, providing higher bandwidth data transfers. This allows up to 64 data bytes per CAN FD frame with transmission bit rates up to 12 Mbit/s during the data payload part of the frame.

    The CAN FD is downward-compatible to CAN 2.0 A/B standard and can be used with existing networks.
