XPort Direct+ is the same functionality as the small RJ45 XPort, but in the XPort Direct package. The NC version of XPort Direct+ has no plastic case or RJ45 connector, which allows the user to place the RJ45 connector anywhere on their board. If you start out with the low cost XPort Direct and need the features of XPort then you can use the XPort Direct+ in the same socket. So if you need to add 10/100 Ethernet to your product? If you have serial port, now it can become an Ethernet port with no changes to your embedded software. The XPort Direct+ is a device server that will take your serial data stream and convert it to Ethernet packets. A web server is also built in which allows you to design your own pages and interface with your product from the Internet. There are three available pins that can be used as general purpose Inputs or Outputs.

The XPort Direct+ has a developer kit available which allows the user to develop custom applications for the XPort Direct+. The out-of-the-box XPort Direct+ does not require additional software to operate. The developer kit includes PC software to connect and configure your device to a PC.
