Product Description
The ESP-WROOM-02 module is a highly integrated WiFi 802.11 b/g/n module that consumes extremely low power while providing a wireless internet connection for embedded devices. With a very small form factor (18mm by 20mm), this wireless module easily assimilates into resource limited devices. These features make it a great choice for OEMs to connect their IoT (Internet of Things) applications.
Embedded with the ESP8266EX chip, the ESP-WROOM-02 module is a 32-bit low power micro-controller (MCU) that integrates with TCP/IP network stacks; the included 10-bit ACD interfaces with HSPI, SDIO, UART, PWM, I2C and I2S. Programs and firmware can be stored in the integrated SPI flash with 2MB or 4MB capacity.
The embedded ESP8266EX chip gives the ESP-WROOM-02 module a wake up and transmit packet speed of less than 2ms which makes it a great solution for applications including IoT. Examples are:
